What is a P-Shot®?

The Priapus shot aims to enhance sexual performance and pleasure by improving blood flow, increasing sensitivity, and promoting tissue growth in the penile region.

What to expect?

First, strong anesthetic cream is applied to minimize discomfort and your blood is drawn (typically from the arm) to extract the platelet rich plasma (PRP). Then, the PRP is injected into the shaft and or head of the penis. Following the injection a penis pump is applied for 10 minutes.

There is typically no downtime required post-procedure and patients can engage in sexual relations immediately after receiving the injection, which allows for a smooth transition back to normal activities.

If a second injection is desired, it can be performed 8-10 weeks after the initial injection.

Question: Does it hurt?

Answer: We use a concentrated lidocaine cream for local numbing. It’s the same cream we use on the face before injections/micro needling procedure. Most patients experience little to no pain. We also offer a nerve block if desired.

Question: How much growth can I expect?

Answer: An average of 10 to 20% increase in length and girth, approximately an inch for most men. Full results are seen in about 3 months.

Question: Where is the injection done?

Answer: The shots are given with a very small needle directly into the shaft and head of the penis. (Remember, we use strong anesthetic prior to the procedure)

Question: How quickly do you see results?

Answer: The initial immediate volume is from the combination of the platelets and the serum (or water) in the injection, plus the growth factors that are released by the activated platelets.

Over next three days, the body absorbs some of the water. The growth of new tissue will begin and continue for an average of 12 weeks. Responses vary by individual, and the ultimate goal is increased performance, size, sensitivity and sexual satisfaction.

Question: What about scar tissue?

Answer: Your procedure will be completed by a Nurse Practitioner, who is trained and certified in Priapus shot injections, so the chance of scarring is very low.
